About Asairu
What is Asairu?
Asairu makes skincare that treats your skin concerns without stripping your barrier. Dark marks, dryness, dullness, texture. Every formula works on something specific while keeping your skin strong enough to respond to it.
What does "treat it, don't strip it" mean?
It means exactly what it says. We treat your concern, and we don't strip your skin doing it.
Stripping is what happens when a product works by damaging your skin: the stinging, the redness, the tightness afterwards. It doesn't just feel bad. Damaged skin holds onto dark marks instead of fading them, and loses water instead of holding it. So the thing you're treating gets worse.
We formulate so that doesn't happen. Real results, skin intact.
What is the skin barrier, and why does it matter so much to you?
Your skin barrier is the outermost layer, the part that holds water in and keeps irritation out. When it's intact, skin feels comfortable and behaves itself. When it's worn down, everything stings, redness lingers, and dry patches turn up next to oily ones.
It matters because a damaged barrier works against the thing you're trying to fix. Irritated skin holds onto pigment, so dark marks darken. Skin that can't hold water gets drier, so dryness deepens. You end up further from where you started.
That's why we build every formula around the barrier from the start rather than treating it as an afterthought.
What makes Asairu different?
Every formula has to do two things before we'll make it: work on a specific concern, and keep your skin strong while it does.
That's a harder brief than it sounds, and it means we turn things down. If a formula only gets results by stripping your skin, it doesn't leave our hands, however well it might sell.
It also means fewer products, because we'd rather make one thing properly than four things quickly.
Are your products gentle or effective?
Both, and we don't think that's a contradiction.
Gentle doesn't have to mean weak. It means we won't get results by damaging your skin, because damaged skin can't hold onto results anyway. Calm skin responds. Stripped skin fights you.

Is Asairu suitable for sensitive skin?
Our formulas are made with sensitive skin in mind. We avoid known irritants and build around barrier support, which is often what reactive skin responds best to.
That said, sensitivity varies enormously and we can't promise how any product will behave on your skin. Always patch test before adding something new, and if you have a diagnosed skin condition, check with your GP or dermatologist first.
Can I use these products during pregnancy?
Some of our products are, and some may not be. It depends on the formula, and we'd rather you check than assume.
Full ingredient lists are on every product page, and we flag anything commonly avoided during pregnancy in the product description.
We're not the right people to tell you what's safe for you though. Every pregnancy is different. Take the ingredient list to your midwife, GP or pharmacist before starting anything new.
Are your products cruelty-free?
Yes , all Asairu products are cruelty-free.
How long before I see results?
Longer than most brands will tell you.
Dark marks and uneven tone need two to three months of consistent use, alongside daily sunscreen. A stripped barrier usually takes around a month to settle.
We'd rather be honest about that now than have you give up in week two thinking it isn't working.
Do you use active ingredients?
Yes, where they're the right thing for the job. We're not against actives. Actives work.
What we won't do is deliver one in a way that strips your barrier. If a formula only works by damaging your skin, we don't make it.
Where can I find the full ingredients?
On every product page, under Full Ingredients (INCI). We list everything, not just the parts that sound good.
Do I need to use the full routine?
No. Each product works on its own.
They do work well together, and the essence in particular makes everything after it more effective. But start with whatever matches your concern and build from there if you want to.
Shipping & Returns
What are your shipping times and costs?
We offer two UK shipping options: Standard (£4.99) arrives in 3-5 working days, and Express (£6.99) arrives in 1-2 working days. All orders are dispatched within 24 hours on business days.
Do you ship internationally?
We currently ship within the UK and are working on expanding to international markets soon.
What’s your return and refund policy?
We offer a 14-day return policy for items in their original, unopened packaging. For hygiene reasons, we cannot accept returns of opened products. If you choose to return an unused item, you'll need to cover the return shipping cost.
Damaged or faulty items: If your order arrives damaged or faulty, please contact us within 24 hours with a photo. We'll assess the issue and resolve it for you as quickly as possible. We cover all shipping costs for damaged or faulty items.
How do I track my order?
You will receive a tracking information by email once your order ships.
